2020 was a massive year. It felt like decades. In reality, it wasn’t merely “unprecedented” as billed by mainstream media, it was the direct result of 40 years of global neoliberal ascendancy. The working class suffered, and fought back. The ruling class used their tools to keep up their relentless assault of class warfare. These images are of that struggle, all from Utah, all original work by Phelan Acheson.

About

I'm a photographer, journalist, and activist. I've been called a "prolific writer" by Jabari Morris, co-editor in chief of Real Progressives. I focus on national politics as well as Utah current events. I enjoy weaving the historical record into my articles for allegory and reference. In addition to my work here at the Lighthouse Tribune, you can find some of my other works at Real Progressives.
